1. Precise calculation of load-bearing parameters
Define the single tire weight (60-15kg/piece for heavy truck tires, and up to 500kg for engineering tires), calculate the single-layer load, reserve a 1.2-.5 times safety factor, and avoid overload deformation.
When stacking storage, control the total number of layers ≤ 5 layers, and the bottom frame needs to be additionally to prevent the bottom from being crushed by the weight of the upper layers.
2. Optimize the stability of the frame structure
The column is preferably selected with Q34 carbon steel, and a double-column / three-column design is adopted. The base at the bottom is widened by 1.5 times the column width, which can the center of gravity and prevent tilting.

3. Adapt to the storage form of tires
Tires wheels: Store vertically in a standing position, design an arc-shaped card slot / limit block to prevent tires from rolling; the layer height is slightly greater than the tire diameter (erve a 5-10cm operation gap).
Tires with wheels: Store horizontally in a lying position, add a thickened steel shelf / mesh layer plate, a plate thickness ≥ 3mm, and the surface is treated with anti-slip, to avoid wheel rim slipping.
4. Improve the space utilization efficiency
The height can be adjusted as required, and can adapt to tires of different specifications (e.g., the diameter of the 12R22.5 tire is about1080mm, and the layer height is set to 1100mm).
For bulk storage, you can choose a stack frame structure, which can beassembled and folded when idle, saving 80% of storage space.
5. Match the interface of storage and retrieval equipment
Forklift storage and retrieval: The leaves a **≥200mm forklift tooth channel **, and the beam height matches the forklift lifting range, avoiding collisions with columns.
Manual storage retrieval: The height of the low-level shelf is ≤1.2m, and a slip-proof ladder is added, and the upper part is equipped with a guard to prevent falling.
6. Strengthen protection and damage prevention design
Add rubber anti-slip pads / buffer strips to the parts that contact the tires to prevent scratches the rubber layer of the tires.
Install collision protection feet on the corners of the shelf, and paste reflective strips on the columns to enhance the safety of forklift operation.For long-term storage shelves, you can add a rotating device to regularly adjust the tire pressure point to avoid local deformation.
7. Do a good job in anti-corion and rust prevention treatment
Indoor storage: Electrostatic powder spraying is adopted, with a coating thickness ≥ 60μm, which is resistant to scratches wear.
Outdoor / humid environment: The whole body is subject to hot-dip galvanizing treatment, with a zinc layer thickness ≥ 85μm, prevents rainwater and salt mist corrosion.
8. Take into account the convenience and maintainability
Modular design is adopted, parts are standardized, and it is convenient to dissemble and replace damaged beams / columns.
